Ultrafast optical parametric amplifiers

High-harmonic generation benefits from infrared driving wavelengths when high energy photons of few hundreds of electronvolts are desired. In this context, we develop optical parametric amplification (OPA) schemes that allows us to generate infrared pulses at a tunable central wavelength in the range 1300-1800 nm. Followed by a hollow-core fiber post-compression setup, our OPA delivering carrier-envelope phase stable sub-20 fs pulses serves to seed our soft-X rays attosecond beamline.
