The ATTO group participated in the project "Dreh meinen Film!".
Over three days, girls aged 12 to 15 engaged in a hands-on filmmaking workshop organized by the University of Hamburg, Cluster of Excellence „CUI: Advanced Imaging of Matter“, learned to develop concepts for videos and obtaining the technical background to produce them. They were equipped with professional gear and interviewed female scientists on their research and personal motivations.
Sabine Rockenstein, with the support of the ATTO team, guided the young moviemakers through the laboratory, explaining the principles behind ultrafast science and providing insights into her work.
The resulting short movies showcase the contributions of female scientists on the DESY campus and can be found here on the website of the Cluster of Excellence CUI: Advanced Imaging of Matter.
