Nobel Laureate Ferenc Krausz visits DESY

The CFEL-ATTO group had the distinct honor of welcoming Nobel Laureate Ferenc Krausz during DESY Day last week. Prof. Krausz, recognized as one of the three researchers awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics for his groundbreaking work in attosecond laser science, delivered an engaging talk that shed light on the insights gained from probing subatomic motion and explored innovative applications of this technology. During his visit, he toured our laboratories, sparking intriguing discussions about the future of attosecond science.
